Oklahoma Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE)

The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”) is an ethics exam administered by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (“NCBE”) and not by the state of Oklahoma. The MPRE is administered separately from the Oklahoma bar exam and is generally tested three times each year in March, August, and November.

Please visit the Ethics Exam/MPRE page for general information about the MPRE and the MPRE application process.

MPRE for Oklahoma

Oklahoma requires an MPRE scaled score of 75 or greater prior to admission. The score is valid for an unlimited period of time. Applicants may take the MPRE before or after the bar exam, but the MPRE requirement must be satisfied within one year after the date the bar exam results are released or the exam is nullified.

For Oklahoma Admission on Motion applicants, Oklahoma requires the MPRE if the attorney’s home jurisdiction has an MPRE requirement as part of its own admission on motion rules. Please see the Admission on Motion MPRE Map.

Oklahoma MPRE Scoring Reciprocity/Transfer

Oklahoma accepts MPRE scaled scores that were achieved in another jurisdiction.
