Oregon Pro Bono

Rule 17.05 of the Rules for Admission of Attorneys allows out-of-state attorneys, who have actively practiced for at least 15 years, to practice law on a pro bono basis on behalf of a Certified Pro Bono Program in Oregon.

A “Certified Pro Bono Program” is a legal services provider that has applied for and received certification through the Oregon State Bar and that maintains professional liability coverage for the pro bono attorney either through a waiver of coverage or through purchasing coverage from the PLF.

Eligible attorneys must file an Application.
