The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”) is an ethics exam administered by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (“NCBE” ) and not by the state of Alaska. The MPRE is administered separately from the Alaska bar exam and is generally tested three times each year in March, August, and November.

MPRE for Alaska
Alaska requires an MPRE scaled score of 80 or greater. Applicants may take the MPRE at anytime, which includes while in law school, before the bar exam, or after the bar exam. Attorneys seeking Alaska Admission on Motion must pass the MPRE with a scaled score of 80 or greater.
Alaska MPRE Scoring Reciprocity/Transfer
Alaska accepts MPRE scaled scores of 80 or greater that were achieved in another jurisdiction.
