The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”) is an ethics exam administered by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (“NCBE”) and not by the state of Nebraska. The MPRE is administered separately from the Nebraska bar exam and is generally tested three times each year in March, August, and November.
Please visit the Ethics Exam/MPRE page for general information about the MPRE and the MPRE application process.
MPRE for Nebraska
Nebraska requires an MPRE scaled score of 85 or greater prior to admission and prior to the application for the Nebraska bar exam. The MPRE score must be achieved within 18 months of the bar exam results. Applicants submitting an application without a passing MPRE score are required to pay an additional $100 fee.
Attorneys seeking Nebraska Admission on Motion must satisfy the MPRE requirement.
Nebraska MPRE Scoring Reciprocity/Transfer
Nebraska accepts MPRE scaled scores that were achieved in another jurisdiction.
