North Dakota Bar Exam Format
The North Dakota bar exam is currently the legacy Uniform Bar Exam (“UBE”): two MPTs, six MEE essays, and the MBE. North Dakota plans to administer the NextGen UBE beginning July 2027 (legacy through February 2027). Confirm current rules with the State Board and NCBE.
MBE Score Transfer
North Dakota does not accept MBE scores transferred from other jurisdictions.
UBE Score Transfer
North Dakota accepts a portable legacy UBE score of 260 or greater, or NextGen UBE 610 or greater, generally within two years (some paths allow up to five years). NextGen transfers are accepted from July 2026 administrations.
