South Carolina Bar Reciprocity

South Carolina does not offer traditional admission on motion or general bar reciprocity. Full admission ordinarily requires the UBE and South Carolina Law course under Rule 402, SCACR. A narrow without-examination path exists for qualifying University of South Carolina / Charleston School of Law deans or tenured professors under Rule 402(j).

South Carolina does not admit attorneys from other jurisdictions on motion (except the narrow Rule 402(j) law-professor path)
