Ohio Multisate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE)

The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”) is an ethics exam administered by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (“NCBE”) and not by the state of Ohio. The MPRE is administered separately from the Ohio bar exam and is generally tested three times each year in March, August, and November.

MPRE for Ohio

Ohio requires an MPRE scaled score of 85 or greater before being admitted to practice in Ohio. Applicants may take the MPRE at any time before or after taking the Ohio bar exam.

There MPRE is not required for Ohio Admission on Motion.

Ohio MPRE Scoring Reciprocity/Transfer

Ohio accepts MPRE scaled scores that were achieved in another jurisdiction.
