Virginia Law Student Admission
Rule 6:4-15 (Third Year Student Practice Rule)of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Virginia allows law students to practice in Virginia on a limited basis.
The law school Dean, or the attorney under whom the student is studying, must submit a letter to the Executive Director of the Virginia State Bar certifying that the law student has completed the eligibility requirements. A Sample Letter can be found on the Virginia State Bar’s website.
