Hawaii Multistate Professional Responsibiltiy Exam (MPRE)
The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”) is an ethics exam developed by NCBE and administered separately from the Hawaii bar exam at Pearson VUE testing centers. The MPRE is generally offered three times each year (March, August, and November).

MPRE for Hawaii
Hawaii requires an MPRE scaled score of 85 or greater prior to admission. Confirm current timing rules with the Hawaii admissions office and NCBE.
Attorneys seeking Hawaii Admission on Motion must meet the MPRE requirement unless a published exception applies.
Hawaii MPRE Scoring Reciprocity/Transfer
Hawaii accepts MPRE scaled scores achieved in another jurisdiction when reported through NCBE score services. Request an additional score report for Hawaii through NCBE.
