Indiana Bar Exam
Indiana Bar Exam Format
The Indiana bar exam is currently the legacy Uniform Bar Exam (“UBE”) (adopted July 2021): two MPTs, six MEE essays, and the MBE. Indiana-specific law is not tested on the exam; newly admitted lawyers must complete the Indiana Law Course within six months after admission. Indiana plans to administer the NextGen UBE beginning July 2028 (legacy through February 2028). Confirm current rules with the Board of Law Examiners and NCBE.
