Wyoming House Counsel

Wyoming does not maintain a separate house-counsel registration program. Out-of-state lawyers employed as in-house counsel generally rely on Wyoming Rules of Professional Conduct 5.5(d)(1), which permits legal services on behalf of the employer if the lawyer is authorized to practice where principally licensed and the services do not require pro hac vice admission.

Limits
This safe harbor does not authorize holding out as a Wyoming lawyer or appearing in Wyoming tribunals without pro hac vice or other admission. See also Wyoming MJP.
