The Alaska bar exam is the Uniform Bar Exam (“UBE”) and takes two days and consists of the Multistate Performance Tests (“MPT”), Multistate Essay Exam (“MEE”), and the Multistate Bar Exam (“MBE”). Alaska law is not longer tested on the Alaska bar exam.

MBE Score Transfer
Alaska does not accept MBE scores transferred from other jurisdictions.
UBE Score Transfer
Alaska began accepting UBE scores as of January 1, 2014. Alaska accepts scaled scores of 280 or greater if the UBE was taken within the past five years prior to the application date. UBE application requirements can be found here.

Grading Procedure
The Alaska bar exam is graded by the NCBE using scaled scores. Results are announced in approximately 90 days.
Passing Score
The minimum passing score is a combined score of 280 or greater.

Applicants may re-apply to take the Alaska bar exam. The application fee is reduced for re-applicants and the later deadline applies.
