Mississippi Law Professors

Mississippi does not provide special admission rules for law professors licensed in other jurisdictions.

However, the Mississippi Pro Hac Vice rules, Rule 46(b)(8)(iii), provide for a law professor exception from the limitation of no more than five pro hac vice appearance in 12 months. Attorneys must be employed full-time as law school teachers at law schools in Mississippi. The law school professor must also be in good standing in the jurisdiction where he or she is admitted and is a required associate with a local Mississippi attorney in order to appear.
