Oklahoma Bar Exam Format

The Oklahoma bar exam is currently the legacy Uniform Bar Exam (“UBE”): two MPTs, six MEE essays, and the MBE. Oklahoma plans to administer the NextGen UBE beginning July 2027 (legacy through February 2027). Confirm current rules with the Board of Bar Examiners and NCBE.

MBE Score Transfer
Oklahoma does not accept MBE scores transferred from other jurisdictions.

UBE Score Transfer
Oklahoma accepts a portable legacy UBE score of 260 or greater earned within three years. NextGen transfers are accepted from July 2026; NextGen cut score TBA.

Retaking the Oklahoma Bar Exam
