Oregon Bar Exam Format

Beginning with the July 2026 administration, Oregon administers the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam. Legacy MBE, MEE, and MPT components are no longer administered (final legacy sitting: February 2026). Confirm current rules with Oregon State Bar Admissions and NCBE.

MBE Score Transfer
Oregon does not accept MBE scores transferred from other jurisdictions.

UBE Score Transfer
Oregon accepts portable scores: legacy UBE 270 or greater, or NextGen UBE 615 or greater, earned within 36 months.

Passing Score
NextGen UBE: 615. Former legacy UBE cut score was 270.

Retaking the Oregon Bar Exam
