West Virginia Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE)

The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”) is an ethics exam developed by NCBE and administered separately from the West Virginia bar exam at Pearson VUE testing centers. The MPRE is generally offered three times each year (March, August, and November).

MPRE for West Virginia

West Virginia requires an MPRE scaled score of 80 or greater prior to admission. Confirm current timing rules with the West Virginia admissions office and NCBE.

West Virginia MPRE Scoring Reciprocity/Transfer

West Virginia accepts MPRE scaled scores achieved in another jurisdiction when reported through NCBE score services. Request an additional score report for West Virginia through NCBE.
