North Carolina Pro Bono

Subchapter A, Rule .0201(c)(2)of the North Carolina State Bar Rules allows attorneys licensed in another state to represent indigent clients on a pro bono basis under the supervision of active members employed by a nonprofit corporation qualified to render legal services pursuant to North Carolina General Statute § 84-5.1. The rule does not apply to an attorney whose license has been suspended or revoked in any state. Attorneys must submit the applicable Form. Pro bono/emeritus status may be withdrawn for good cause shown.
