Rhode Island House Counsel
Rhode Island Supreme Court Article II, Rule 9(b) permits registration of in-house counsel who are admitted elsewhere and employed at a Rhode Island office by a corporation or other entity. Confirm current forms with the Supreme Court Clerk’s Office.
Practice limits
Registered in-house counsel may practice only for the employer and may not appear in state courts or in contested agency proceedings without pro hac vice admission. Registrants are subject to Rhode Island RPC and CLE rules. See also Rhode Island MJP.
