Tennessee House Counsel
Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 7, Section 10.01 requires registration of in-house counsel with a systematic and continuous Tennessee presence. Apply through the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners (Synergy portal). Confirm current requirements and fees.
Eligibility
Applicants must be admitted elsewhere (or qualifying foreign legal consultant), be employed by a lawful non-law-practice organization, and meet character-and-fitness requirements via NCBE and Tennessee applications.
Practice
Registration permits employer practice under RPC 5.5(d)(1) frameworks; court appearances require pro hac vice or Tennessee admission. See also Tennessee MJP.
