Tennessee Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE)
The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”) is an ethics exam developed by NCBE and administered separately from the Tennessee bar exam at Pearson VUE testing centers. The MPRE is generally offered three times each year (March, August, and November).

MPRE for Tennessee
Tennessee requires an MPRE scaled score of 82 or greater prior to admission. Confirm current timing rules with the Tennessee admissions office and NCBE.
Attorneys seeking Tennessee Admission on Motion must meet the MPRE requirement unless a published exception applies.
Tennessee MPRE Scoring Reciprocity/Transfer
Tennessee accepts MPRE scaled scores achieved in another jurisdiction when reported through NCBE score services. Request an additional score report for Tennessee through NCBE.
