Virginia Bar Reciprocity

Virginia Rule 1A:1 governs admission without examination. Applicants must have been admitted for at least five years and engaged in the active practice of law for three of the past five years, and must come from a reciprocal jurisdiction. See the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners reciprocity list.

Additional Requirements

Admission tenure. Admitted elsewhere for at least five years.

Practice. Active practice for three of the past five years.

MPRE. Scaled score of 85 or greater.
