Delaware Bar Reciprocity

Delaware does not offer traditional admission on motion or bar reciprocity. Under Delaware Supreme Court Rule 52 and Board of Bar Examiners practice, applicants (including attorneys already licensed elsewhere) must qualify for and pass the Delaware Bar Examination and complete Delaware’s clerkship and related admission requirements. See the Board’s FAQs.

There is no published reciprocal-jurisdiction list and no waiver of the Delaware exam based solely on years of practice in another state. Limited practice options (such as pro hac vice) are separate from full admission.
