Louisiana Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE)

The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”) is an ethics exam developed by NCBE and administered separately from the Louisiana bar exam at Pearson VUE testing centers. The MPRE is generally offered three times each year (March, August, and November).

MPRE for Louisiana

Louisiana requires an MPRE scaled score of 80 or greater prior to admission. Confirm current timing rules with the Louisiana admissions office and NCBE.

Attorneys seeking Louisiana Admission on Motion must meet the MPRE requirement unless a published exception applies.

Louisiana MPRE Scoring Reciprocity/Transfer

Louisiana accepts MPRE scaled scores achieved in another jurisdiction when reported through NCBE score services. Request an additional score report for Louisiana through NCBE.
