Missouri Bar Exam Format
Beginning with the July 2026 administration, Missouri administers the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam. Legacy MBE, MEE, and MPT components are no longer administered (final legacy sitting: February 2026). Applicants must also complete the Missouri Educational Component Test (MECT). Confirm current rules with the Missouri Board of Law Examiners and NCBE.

MBE Score Transfer
Missouri accepts transferred MBE scores for an essay-only sitting path (non-portable Missouri-only score). Confirm current rules with MBLE.
UBE Score Transfer
Missouri accepts portable scores: legacy UBE 260 or greater, or NextGen UBE 610 or greater, earned within five years. NextGen transfers are accepted from July 2026 administrations.

NextGen UBE: 610. Former legacy UBE cut score was 260.
Retaking the Missouri Bar Exam
