Missouri Bar Reciprocity
Missouri Supreme Court Rule 8.10 (revised effective January 1, 2026) governs Admission on Motion. Applicants must hold an active license in a jurisdiction that admits Missouri lawyers without examination and must have engaged in the full-time practice of law for five of the past ten years immediately preceding the application.

Additional Requirements
Missouri Rule 8.10 requirements include:
Law Degree. A J.D. or LL.B. from an ABA-approved law school at graduation.
Practice of Law. Full-time practice for five of the past ten years. Missouri office practice generally does not count toward Rule 8.10(a)(4)(A) (limited Rule 8.106 temporary-license exceptions may apply).
CLE. Complete the Annual Law Update CLE (or equivalent) within twelve months before filing or within ninety days after character and fitness approval.
MPRE. Rule 8.10 is silent; confirm current Board instructions for motion applicants (exam/UBE paths commonly use MPRE 80).
